Solvay ado "Not to respond to the invitation of La Source, although it is a tribute to Jean Prouvé, was unthinkable: I was part of his association and he was one of the founders of the ENSCI, of which I directed a Teaching Unit for 20 years. As with my last participation (George Nelson's Bench) my intervention was to prolong the work, rather than to transform it. In this respect I imagined what Jean Prouvé would have done if he had to draw a chair replica of this stool. I tried it by inscribing a backrest (lumbar) in the rhythm of the base."
