Maurice JANSEGERS (1903-1989). La Soumise, circa 1950. Terracotta, 24 cm. Signed on the base. This Belgian artist studied at the Ixelles School of Art where he became a professor around 1950. As a painter, he had a preference for landscapes. Maurice Jansegers exhibited at the 12th Salon du Cercle Artistique de Watermael-Boisfort at the Maison Communale in 1959, and with "Les Arts en Europe" in Brussels in 1967.
