PROVENANCE Private collection, France. EXHIBITION Aix-les-Bains, Musée Faure, "Pas de deux : Auburtin, Rodin et la danse", 6 October 2018-6 January 2019. "In 1914, [Isadora Duncan] set up one of her dance schools in Meudon, not far from Paris and Rodin's house. Rodin's visits are attested to without any trace of any works by her. On the other hand, an important series of gouaches testify that Auburtin, as with Loïe Fuller's troupe, was fond of drawing Isadora Duncan's disciples, some of whom were called "Isadorables"."
