Aubusson Tapestry in wool and silk, end of the 19th century "Gothic Decor".
A gentleman and a lady, from the Renaissance period, meet in a garden with a thousand blooming flowers. Both wear rich bourgeois clothes enriched with brocades (woven from metal threads). While the lady sitting on a throne spins wool with her distaff, the man declaims his flame to her by reading her a poem. Little chicks peck at the ground, while a cat plays with the ball of wool. Border with small polychrome shields.
