Aubusson Tapestry in wool and silk, end of the early 17th century
On the edge of a lush, flowery wood, in the shade of centuries-old oaks where two birds are resting, on the bank of a river, two fasciated hoopoes face each other. In the background you can see a castle and its adjoining formal garden, enriched by a fountain. Frame with garlands of flowers and scrolling acanthus leaves. (Small wears and restorations)
