Fragment of an Oudenaarde tapestry from the end of the 16th century, of the Aristoloche type, or otherwise called cabbage leaves. To be compared with a tapestry reproduced in the work of Guy Delmarcel (La Tapisserie Flamande, page 192; Guy Delmarcel; Ianno, Tielt (Belgium) 1999). One observes there certain identical motifs.

Height : 190 cm ; Width : 170cm.
It is indeed to the "greens" that Oudenaarde owes its celebrity, and this reputation has remained, even if something else was also produced there. These Oudenaarde green tapestries were already exported to Italy in 1538.
