Arc attr floor lamp in Guzzini Arched floor lamp from the 70's, composed of a chrome-plated metal base, a chrome-plated metal extensible shaft and a shade in coffee moulded plastic. Good condition and in working order. Dimensions: H: 192 cm Harvey Guzzini is often misunderstood as the name of a lighting designer active in the 1960s and 1970s. In fact, the brand belongs to a lighting manufacturing company founded by six Guzzini brothers - Raimondo, Giovanni, Virgilio, Giuseppe, Adolfo and Giannunzio - who were inspired by the 1950 film Harvey with James Stewart. To further complicate the story, it seems that the Guzzini company changed its name several times during the 20th century, becoming in turn Harvey Creazioni, Harvey Guzzini, Guzzini, iGuzzini and Illuminazione Guzzini. Harvey Creazioni was founded in 1959 in Recanti (on Italy's Central East coast) by Raimondo, focusing on the production of copper-plated decorative objects. Four years later, in June 1963, the six brothers joined forces and founded Harvey Creazioni di Guzzini, expanding production to include hangings, wall lights, lamps and floor lamps. The brothers employed the architect-designer Luigi Massoni - introduced to them by the large plastic importer Maurizio Adreani - as head of design, branding, public relations and advertising. The famous Harvey Guzzini models include the Mushroom desk lamp by Massoni and Luciano Buttura (1965), as well as the Arc floor lamp (1968), the Faro desk lamp (1970) and the Toledo desk lamp (1973), designed in-house. Designers Ermanno Lampa and Sergio Brazzoli are responsible for the Nastro Series (1970), the Orione pendant lamp (1970), the Sirio desk lamp (1970), the Alba floor lamp (1973), the Albanella desk lamp (1973) and the Alf Series (1976).
