Signed Toshitsugu with kakihan Japan, 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868) Of mokko gata (lobed shape) form with two hitsu, worked in takazogan and shishiabori (sunken relief) depicting a river with a crab, craggy rockwork, and water reeds, the reverse also showing a river with reeds and rocks. The crab’s shell, the reeds, and some pebbles are gilt. Signed TOSHITSUGU with kakihan. SIZE 8.0 x 7.4 cm WEIGHT 147.0 g Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear. Provenance: French private collection, old collector number to the reverse.
