Nouna, visual artist
After graduating from the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Modernes de Paris, Denise Benarroch, after a past experience in creation and decoration in an industrial and commercial environment, was drawn in the 90s by the world of sculpture. She then joined Myriam Franck's studio where she explored a palette of styles. She will follow a course at the Ecole Boule. Enough to nourish an insatiable will of evolution.
Nouna then collaborates with an agency for the creation of artistic trophies while pursuing her own creations. Thus she signed several pieces inspired by artistic advertising photos: La femme coquillage (2000), La femme parfum (2001), La bouche (2002).
She has fashioned several academic nudes, but her creative fibre leads her towards a totally free practice inspired by contemporary art. It is then that she decides to sign her works with her middle name: Nouna.
From pure earth are born her sculptures. "I work on living models that awaken in me forms, lines and curves" explains the artist. She adds:
"From these moving volutes, I recreate harmony and balance by associating my sensitivity and my imagination. »
Today, Nouna exhibits at the biggest contemporary art fairs, but also in many galleries in France and abroad.
