- BURGUNDY. Noei Borguignon by Gui Barôzai. Fifth edition. An Bregogne (Dijon), 1738; in 12, jaspered fawn calf, decorated nerves back, red slices. The author, Bernard de La Monnoye, born June 15, 1641 in Dijon and died October 15, 1728, is a French poet, philologist and critic, known mainly for his Noei Borguignon. This edition appeared ten years after his death. Nice copy. Enclosed is an edition of the Théâtre de Piere Corneille, published in 1648, in 12, brown faded calf of the time. The first pages are missing.
