Important ceremonial armchair with frame and curved backrest in mahogany and mahogany veneer. Console of sculpted swan-shaped armrests. Front legs in lion claw sheath, hind legs in sabre. Ornamentation of foliage, flowers, fleurons and palmettes in gilt bronze.
Attributed to Jacob Desmalter, probably after a drawing by Percier et Fontaine.
Empire period, circa 1810.
