forming
overmantel composed of elements of the seventeenth century
rearranged. It consists of a base
made up of three carved panels
of two putti and an old man's head
finished in rinceaux. The three finely carved panels
are in the tradition
Renaissance made in the seventeenth century.
This lower part is surmounted by a frame
adorned with two columns detached on each
of the vertical sides and while the upper part
is in full arch carved in
each of the corners of a putto in the spirit
of those on the lower part.
This part forming a frame except
the columns is of the XVII century.
Partly XVII century.
Probably Italian work.
