Pierre-Olivier Deschamps (French, born in 1957), originally a theatre photographer and studio assistant, is one of the first photographers to join Agence VU'. At that time, he made numerous portraits in the world of literature and cinema. For the last ten years, through publications and institutional collaborations, he has been interested in architecture and urban landscape.
This print "Japan, 1991" is part of the series "L'Éloge de l'ombre", a tribute to the writer Junichiro Tanizaki, produced thanks to a grant from the Villa Médicis hors les murs.
