A Bayon bronze figure of Avalokiteshvara. Cambodia. Late 12th/early 13th century
Standing on a stepped base, holding prayer beads in one hand and a long snake in the other, the head adorned with a crown, and a small Amithaba figure in front of the chignon. Surface corroded.
