Rudy Ricciotti was born on 22 August 1952 in Algiers. Architect and engineer, Rudy Ricciotti is representative of this generation of architects who combine creative power with a true constructive culture. A pioneer and ambassador of concrete, he has sublimated innovative concretes in landmark projects such as the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations in Marseille, the Department of Islamic Arts at the Louvre Museum, and the Jean-Bouin Stadium in Paris, the Jean Cocteau Museum in Menton, the Pont de la République in Montpellier, the Nikolaïsaal Philharmonic in Potsdam in Germany, the Gstaad Philharmonic in Switzerland for the festival created by Yehudi Menuhin or the Passerelle pour la Paix in Seoul.He is the author of various pamphlets, the most recent being : Le béton en garde à vue (Lemieux Éditeur, 2015), Rudy Ricciotti : En vain (Éditions Jannink, 2014), Conversations imaginaires " ou pas " avec Rudy Ricciotti (Éditions un autre Reg'Art, 2014), L'architecture est un sport de combat (Éditioons Textuel, 2013), La HQE® brille comme ses initiales sur la chevalière au doigt (Éditons Le Gac Press, 2013). Rudy Ricciotti is a Grand Prix national de l'Architecture, Gold Medal of the Fondation de l'Académie d'Architecture, Knight of the Legion of Honour, Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters, Officer of the National Order of Merit and Member of the French Academy of Architecture.
