Architect and urban planner, Dominique Perrault won the competition for the French National Library in 1989. This project marked the starting point of his career and numerous commissions abroad, such as the Velodrome and Olympic swimming pool in Berlin (1999), the extensions to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg (2008-2019), the Ewha Womans University in Seoul (2008), the Fukoku Tower in Osaka (2010) or the DC Tower in Vienna (2014). The workshop has also carried out various heritage conversion projects, such as the transformation of the Pavillon Dufour in the Palace of Versailles (2016) or the transformation of the Paris Longchamp racecourse (2018). In the field of urban planning, Dominique Perrault is currently developing the Olympic and Paralympic Village for the 2024 Paris Games. His work has received prestigious awards and has entered the collections of the world's greatest museums.
