"Born in Paris and coming from a dual English and French culture, Jean-Baptiste Lacoudre graduated in Plastic Arts DNSA (Sculpture) at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1978 and then at the UP6 School of Architecture in 1984. He was initiated into project practice alongside Paul Chemetov from 1980 to 1984 and Renzo Piano from 1984 to 1987. He established himself as a freelance architect in 1987. One of the few architects to have been awarded three times in a row the PAN; PAN 13 (1983), PAN-bureaux and PAN 14 (both in 1985), then winner of the Albums de la Jeune Architecture, he was selected for the exhibition at the Institut Français d'Architecture on the "40 French architects under 40" in 1988. Associate Professor TCPA at the School of Architecture in Rennes from 1995 to 1999, he has participated in several conferences, such as "Innovation and Architecture" Batimat in 1999 and Usine "Utilités" at the School of Architecture in Saint-Etienne in 1996. He continued his teaching activity in 20002 as a temporary lecturer at the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture. He was appointed by the Minister of the Haute-Savoie Prefect in 2003 - 2014, and was then appointed consultant architect to the Ministry of Public Works, Town and Country Planning and Sustainable Development until 2015.
