Manuelle Gautrand is an architect. She created her agency, MANUELLE GAUTRAND ARCHITECTURE, in 1991, she lives and works in Paris. Her agency designs and builds buildings in fields as varied as cultural facilities, offices, housing, commercial facilities, hotels, etc. To date, she has delivered more than 30 buildings, all of which have been noticed, published and very often awarded.
In 2017, she was the first woman, and the first French woman, to be awarded the international prize "The European Prize for Architecture" for her body of work. In addition, she was promoted to the rank of Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in April 2010, and to the rank of Officier dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres in October 2017.
"Re-enchanting the city" and thus moving, reinventing, renewing, innovating and proposing unexpected responses in audacity and plurality, these are the founding principles of Manuelle Gautrand's architecture.
