Wiener Elfenbeinkabinett Lot n° 808

41 x 38.5 x 25 cm. Silver elements partially with Viennese inspection. Vienna, c. 1880. Four sphinx figures cast in silver and partially enamelled, the box-shaped body with a risalite-like protruding central section with double door and drawer underneath. Three drawers behind the double door. The central section is flanked by two high drawers with mascaron train. Polychrome enamel plaques with antique figural scenes inlaid in silver cartouches on all sides. Corners with lapis lazuli columns with Corinthian capitals and lapis lazuli cachepots with fully plastic flower fillings in enamelled silver. The central building is heightened by a glazed clock and a floral chacepot as a crowning glory. A key and a clock key are provided. (1252033) (13) Viennese ivory cabinet 41 x 38.5 x 25 cm.
