Bonaparte first consul. Pair of enhanced lithographs, one titled "The Triumph of Religion" with Pope Pius VII and the clergy praying to the Holy Spirit to enlighten with his beneficent rays the unfortunate lost and to bring them back to the Catholic religion recognized and protected by the first consul on April 18, 1802, the other depicting Napoleon Bonaparte first consul before the crucified Christ inscribed "he went to Notre Dame de Paris to hear the holy mass celebrated by Cardinal Caprara legat to the French government on April 18, 1802.
