Crowned and dressed in a blue fleudelysed coat with ermine lapels, the Allegory of the French Monarchy
protects the four eldest children of Louis XV and Marie Lescynzka, the two little twins born in 1727, Marie
Louise Élisabeth and Anne Henriette, Marie Louise, born one year later. She holds on her lap the dolphin Louis,
born in 1729, wearing the blue ribbon of the Order of Saint Michael.
