Bobo mask
Burkina Faso
Wood, pigments, rope
H.: 107.5 cm.
Large mask with a long face and minimalist features. The eyes are summarized by two openwork squares, separated by a long straight nose. An openwork board with a bird's head with multiple spread wings surmounts the mask.
Non-tribal artistic creation object (sculpture expressing itself beyond the classical canons of the socio-cultural group).
