■▲ PARIS PORCELAIN SERVICE PARTY (LOCRE) FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE 19th CENTURY BLUE MARKS WITH TWO ARROWS, MARKS IN GROWINGS With gold decoration in the center of a rosette, the wing with blue-black and gold decoration of a frieze of palmettes and stylized flowers interposed between two gold nets, comprising : two coolers, their interiors and their lids, two lozenge-shaped baskets with an openwork rim and their displays, two terrines and their lids, four vegetable dishes and their lids, four sauce boats and their trays, two sugar boats with adherent trays and their lids, two butter boats with adherent trays and their lids, two double jam boats with adherent trays, three interiors and four lids, two mustard boats with adherent trays and their lids, two mute servants, one large bowl, two bowls, eight egg cups, fourteen cream pots and seventeen lids, eighteen coffee cups and their saucers, six shell compote dishes, five shuttle compote dishes, six truncated oval dishes, eight square compote dishes (two sizes), five pedestal cups, twenty dishes (five sizes), twelve oval dishes (five sizes), twenty-nine soup plates, one hundred and eighty-six plates, fifty-four dessert plates; we add four early 19th century porcelain double salerons in the shape of baskets; some restorations, cracks, splinters, some retouching and gold wear H. of an icebox: 38 cm. (15 in.) Provenance Marshal Ney, Duke of Elchingen, Prince of Moscowa (1769-1815); and by descent, Mrs Casimir de l'Espée, née Aglaé Monnier (whose mother was the sister of Marshal Ney); her son Henri de l'Espée; her son Jean de l'Espée; her daughter Nicole, married Prince Jérôme Murat; and then by descent to the present owner.
