Important and fine TABRIZ (North West of Iran) wool and silk. Around 1985. Dimensions: 315 x 200 cm. Technical characteristics: High quality lambswool velvet, flowers inlaid with silk on a cotton foundation. Good general condition. Density: Approx. 10000 knots per dm2. Celadon green field with foliage branches and garlands of flowering palmettes decorated with a large central beige and ruby floral medallion with a flowered crown surrounded by two stylised oil lamps. Four ivory spandrels with flowered crowns Triple borders, the main one being an emerald with interlacing palmettes and floral bulbs.
