FRAGMENT OF A ROYAL STATUE IN GRANO-DIORITE
Egypt, New Kingdom, early 19th dynasty
Fragment carved with one hand and engraved on the other side of Sethi I's crowning cartouche, Menmaatra (The Ma'at of Ra is Lasting), and the birth cartouche, Sethi Mernptah (Sethi, beloved of Ptah). The rest of the fragment shows us the lower left corner of an offering table on which an elongated loaf of bread can be seen.
