WOODEN PTAH SOKAR OSIRIS Egypt, Ptolemaic period Stuccoed, painted and gilded wooden statue of the god standing on a rectangular base, the mummiform body adorned with a pectoral ousekh necklace. The head is topped by a tripartite wig whose upper part is strongly domed. The backs of the legs are inscribed with a column of hieroglyphs repeating the traditional hymn of Ptah Sokar Osiris. The base is linearly decorated. Lacunar crown, cavity at the back of the wig, waxed set, lacks of stucco and repainted.
