OUSHEBTI IN THE NAME OF NEFERIBRÊ(EM)HEB Reign of Psammetic II (595-589)
Egypt, Saite period, XXVIth dynasty
Turquoise earthenware statuette, wearing a tripartite wig, standing on a quadrangular base, arms crossed, holding the two farming implements. Three columns of hieroglyphic inscriptions:
"O these Ochebtis, if one counts the Osiris Nefer-ib-rê-(em)-heb, born of Charemetch, to accomplish all the work that is done there, in the domain of the god, then the embarrassment (t')en will be inflicted there, like a man to his task. "Here I am," you will say."
Fracture restored.
