BRONZE HORSEBIT Luristan, circa 8th century B.C. Bits with a rigid crossbar and plates in the shape of passing horses wearing a bell collar, their long legs resting on a bar. Rings on the croup and neck of the animal. Smooth brown patina. Dim. of the plates: 8.7 x 12 cm Provenance: Mes Boisgirard and de Heeckeren, Hôtel Drouot, Paris, December 16, 1981 : n°300 (ill.)
