Meissen "monkey as a sconce"
designed by Paul Walther in 1928, underglazed blue sword mark Pfeifferzeit, painted twice and one underline, incised model number K245x, embossed number 76, brush monogram EC and mark and designer's monogram, porcelain, of naturalistic form with sparing onglaze painting in green and brown, monkey sitting on a curved leaf calyx with two flowers as bulb holder, holding a banana, somewhat scorched and mainly cracked backside, very rare, h 54 cm.
