Splendid silver coffee- and tea service (in part silver-plated) Paris. Late 19th century. Maison Odiot. Silver, once with gilt interior. Kettle and rechaud silver-plated. 5 pieces, consisting of coffee pot, teapot, large water kettle on rechaud, sugar bowl and milk jug. Cambered bodies with pronounced acanthus cartouches and sectioned through slender cords, each on four small rocaille feet. In between fine Rococo decor on stippled ground. Each piece with monogram \"EM\" in rocaille cartouche on the front. Handles shaped as C-curves decorated with acanthus and rocailles. The long, slender spouts in the shape of dragon heads, the knobs of the lids shaped as small flower bouquets. Ca. 3670g. Height of the pots 26,5cm /19cm/ Kettle on rechaud and with raised handle 41cm. Parisian standard 950 (Rosenberg no.5880), Odiot A Paris, maker's mark partly indistinct (Maison Odiot, 1825-1894).
