Signed autograph letter addressed to Joseph-Marie LO DUCA
Orléans, September 15, 1959. 2 pages in-8 in ink on paper.
Lo Duca directed some collections specializing in eroticism and collaborated closely with the work of Georges Bataille. "[...] Since I saw you, I have found, in Paris, two very beautiful drawings by Picasso. I asked Kahnweiler to have two of them made. I think you agree. On the other hand, I saw Pierre Klossowski. I would like to reproduce three of these drawings, plus one of the illustrations for "Roberte ce soir [...] I think the image of Jeanne Moreau dressed as a blue angel that appeared in Marie Claire in December is very beautiful [...] [...] I recently found a number of paintings that, for us, seem first-rate. In any case, they have the merit of being, in France, almost unknown. Don't forget Girodias as soon as you can and give him my regards".
