Silver (950) ovoid jug, tripod, decorated with a frieze of water leaves and vine branches, resting on three feet with stylized shell attachments. The belly engraved later with a coat of arms presented by two heraldic horses, on a mound, and under a baron's tortilla. Eggcup fretel lid on rosette. Spout with chimera head. Wooden handle formerly blackened. Goldsmith's mark: Jean-Nicolas BOULANGER, active between 1797 and 1809. PARIS, 1797-1809. [Hallmark of the 950 sterling silver of PARIS featuring a rooster bearing the letter "A" on the left ; told "An V" (1797)]. Gross weight: 817 g. - Height: 30 cm. Scratches and shocks; crack in the grip.
