On the reverse side an old painted inventory number 417 and a pencil text in French on the wood relating to its modern provenance.

To be compared with the portrait of a young woman in Saint Lucia (around 1509) by Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio (Milan 1467 - 1516) from the Thyssen - Bornemisza (Madrid) collection of similar dimensions (51.5 x 36 cm) (Cf.
