PEUGEOT 406 Coupé Chassis number : VF38CRFVE80592840 Date of release: 1998 Mileage on the odometer: 160500 km The model A design by Pininfarina, a road-holding by Peugeot, the 406 coupé has a number of significant advantages. -The 1990s saw the return of niche vehicles, abandoned during the previous decade. At Peugeot, the coupe tradition, which began in the post-war period with the 203 in 1953 and was interrupted with the discontinuation of the 504 in 1983, was revived. -In other words, it was eagerly awaited when it was presented at the 1996 Paris Motor Show  après Thirteen years of waiting since the brand's last coupé. -Like its predecessors, this elegant coupe shares no bodywork elements with the sedan from which it is derived. -Its bodywork is pure splendour, perfectly balanced and elegant. It has established itself as one of the stars of the youngtimers, those "young collector cars" that are becoming more and more popular. -Inside, the dashboard is the same as the sedan's, but it doesn't shine with charm. However, it was possible to enhance the exclusivity of the interior with the use of the attractive optional leather upholstery available in three colours. At launch, the 406 Coupe is available with a 135 hp 4-cylinder 1 998 cm3 engine and a 194 hp V6 2 946 cm3. -Nearly fifteen years after its launch, the Peugeot 406 Coupé has entered the history of French motoring. A feat for the car nicknamed the French Ferrari, which has been a real commercial success and not just a success of esteem. -Now that a second life in the collection is taking shape, the hardest thing is to choose among the many versions on offer, in V6 alone...
