The model - Lancia or the mystery of a brand that has been searching for its positioning for so long. It's not easy to compete with the luxury of L'Allemande, which is very rigorous, with a strong Latin influence for refinement, lines and sportiness. - This is what the Lancia Gamma Coupé tried. Originally, the success of the sedan prompted Pininfarina to develop a coupé concept, which was finally produced in 1978. - This coupé perfectly illustrates the vision of Italian luxury. Elegant design with finely crafted touches such as the trunk lid and roof. - It's inside and under the hood that you can see the difference with German production. Apart from the equipment, which is complete as it should be, it's the colours and materials that stand out from the rest of the production. - As far as the engine is concerned, it can be said that Lancia has played a bit of a shy game with two completely new, longitudinally mounted, flat four-cylinder engines. Designed at Lancia, they had no relation to Fiat engines. A 2-litre 120 hp for the Italian market and a 2.5-litre, synonymous with the biggest boxer ever produced for several years, and 140 hp for the other markets. - The Lancia Gamma Coupé did not demerit and had real qualities, but the lack of sufficient engine power gave it a bright commercial horizon in the face of German competition. - A total of 6,789 coupes were produced The car - The lot we are presenting dates back to 1978. - It has a very low mileage for a car over 40 years old, 49,677 km to be precise. - It is equipped with the 4-cylinder 2.5-litre carburettor. - Its interior is worthy of a place in the Museum of Modern Art with its scarlet blue cloth upholstery that stands in stark contrast to the grey exterior paintwork. - The current owner acquired it in January 2013, when the car had 42,000 km. This is the third owner, the previous one having covered only 7,000 km since June
