Original edition of this work by Isbrand van Diemerbroeck (1609-1674), Dutch physician who held the chair of medicine and anatomy at the University of Utrecht. It contains his observations on the anatomy of the human body and the blood circulatory system.

Large wetness touching the introductory booklets of Volume I and the final booklets of Volumes I and II, with a gallery of verses in the inner margin of several of them. Some freckles, B-notebook poorly bound between the introductory notebooks in volume I. Repaired tear without lack in 5 plates. Rough restoration to hinges, caps and corners.
