DEVERIA Eugène (1805-1865), attributed to Self-portrait Pastel Approx. 65 x 45 cm. (small accidents and stains) Note: This self-portrait served as a model for Paul Lafond (1847-1918) who made an etching of it reproduced in "L'artiste - Revue de l'Art Contemporain" published by the Bureaux de l'Artiste in July 1895 in Paris (p.372). Paul Lafond dates the execution of this self-portrait in 1863. Paul Lafond (born in Rouen on 1 July 1847 and died in Pau on 21 September): draftsman, aquafortist and lithographer was also curator of the Museum of Fine Arts in Pau.
