Titled lower left on the montage the Marshal's Hall 1871 The Salle des maréchaux was on the first floor of the Tuileries clock pavilion. It was destroyed in May 1871 when the Communards set fire to the palace. Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven was an architectural and landscape painter.
