Collection of 25 copperplate figures, the frontispiece, plate 17 is a double representation of figures from the troops of Louis XIV. The first ones are dedicated to the King's Military Household. Each figure is accompanied by a few explanatory lines. This work, which has become very rare and, above all, complete, is the most beautiful suite of military engravings of the 18th century.
