Triptych of travel.
Tempera on wood, in a metal frame, in the center, an icon-reliquary,
representing the Holy Wisdom of God, surrounded by the thirteen inlaid parts of the
relics of the saints, including : Luke the Evangelist, Lazarus of Bethany, Ignas of Antioch,
Gregory the Great, Martir Constantine, John of Longsuffering, Agapit the Anargyr, Venerable
Longin and the stone part of Ezra.
The left part: Holy Trinity of the New Testament.
The right part: Christ the Saviour, "Eye that never sleeps" or "The Vigilant Eye", with the inscription:
"Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep", Psalm 121:4 RARE SUBJECT!
