Reprint of Rusting's Dance of the Dead, inspired by the work of Holbein the Younger, nicely bound by Allo. The first edition of this dance illustrated by Rusting was given by Jan ten Hoorn in 1707.
In-8 (155 x 93 mm), engraved title and 30 full-page plates with engraved caption. Binding signed Allo: brown morocco, skull on two gilt crossed femurs in the centre of the covers, spine ribbed with gilt skulls, gilt edges. Provenance : P.J. Vertuurme Roegiers (handwritten ex-libris with engraved title and title page).
