COMMYNES, Philippe de (1447-1511). In-4 (221 x 161 mm).engraved title, printer's mark on the title, full-page frontispiece, decorated and historiated letters, all woodcut. Title page printed in black and red. Modern binding in bottle-green half-marquin with corners, spine ribbed, gilt lettering, marbled endpapers, marbled edges (slightly short trimmed copy with light browning and wet spots, mainly in the margin small work of verses on the title page work of verses with loss of letters in the second half of the volume restoration on f. J7 light rubbing at the binding). Provenance: contemporary marks of origin of the edition trimmed in the margin - old mark of origin on the title page -- manuscript ex-libris and stamp of Stév.-F. Constant Viguier, author in 1828 of a Manuel de miniature et de Gouache -- stamp and ex-libris of the architect Pierre Gélis-Didot (1853-1937). He was the director of the magazine L'Art pour tous.
