Pallasite block of 854 g, for 80 mm height, of very high quality for olivines and polishing.
Pallasites are the most aesthetic and by far the most prized of the meteorites, they are also among the rarest. It is possible to cut slices from this block for jewellery or cutlery for example, to reveal the inner beauty of this block with its translucent peridots that formed in Space 4.5 billion years ago. The peridots are as if naturally crimped by a metal matrix. This metal matrix has a geometrical pattern that is only found in meteorites, the so-called Widmanstätten structure. Seymchan is a pallasite-type meteorite found in Russia. The block measures 70 x 35 mm at the base and 80 mm high for 854 g.
