Two embroidered bridal handkerchiefs, 2nd half of the 19th century.
In linen hand thread embroidered with tight stitches, one hemmed with a Valenciennes bobbin and embroidered with a frieze of fine ribbon interlaced with sprays of rosebuds and foliage punctuated with large blooming roses, hearts with star-shaped modes, complex figure embroidered in a corner (reprise) and a handkerchief embroidered with sprays of roses and foliage forming garlands, the perimeter scalloped with small tri-lobed motifs and alternating mode cartridges, small figure LB in a corner. (good general condition, a few small holes located in the same place)
