§ DISNEY (Walt) Le Avventure di Topolino (Mickey Mouse). Storielle e illustrazioni dello Studio Walter Disney. N. 1 [and 2]. Torino, Frassinelli, 1933.
2 polychrome illustrated cardboard albums of the edition (dim. 22 x 16 cm).
Each album includes 2 illustrated stories in black and white (based on the studio's animated short films): The Pioneers and The Soldiers of Fire (no. 1), The Mystery of the Gorilla and The Birthday Party (no. 2).
Very rare first edition in Italian of the first two issues of Mickey's Adventures, translated for the publisher Frassinelli by Cesare Pavese. The first daily Mickey Mouse comics appeared in 1930 in the pages of L'Illustrazione del Popolo. Frassinelli's editorial director, Franco Antonicelli, envisaged the publication of these two independent volumes as early as 1932, entrusting their translation to Pavese and using the pseudonym Antony.
Very little freckles on the cover of n°2, if not very good copies, very well preserved, which is all the more rare.
