EISENBERG (Baron d'). The Art of riding a horse, or description of the modern manege, in its perfection. Explained by necessary lessons, and represented by exact figures, from the plate of the man on horseback, to the arrest; accompanied also by various bites to bridle the horses well. Engraved by B. Picart. sl, sn, [1737]. In oblong folio, brown calf, decorated spine with nerves (contemporary binding). Second edition, illustrated with a title, & 59 plates engraved by B. Picart from the author's drawings: 7 of types of horses, 48 of mounted riders performing various figures, and 4 of bridles. Good copy. Qqs small rubbed, white paint stain on the top plate, tears restored on the title page, tear with lack (without damage to the text) on p. 5, tear without lack pl.
