PENDERMA (Asia Minor), Late 19th century A cream-coloured mihrab, with arabesques, decorated with small columns, floral surrounds and a hanging lamp, supports a pistachio vault, covered with fine ivory scrolls. Two water-green reserves decorated with polychrome plants complete the ensemble. Six ivory, cream and steel counterborders, decorated with ribbons and multicoloured vegetal friezes, frame the main border, salmon, following polychrome floral compositions. 183 x 136cm
