Le Bouclier de la foy, in the form of a dialogue, is an extract from the saintly escripture. Paris, Vivant Gaultherot, 1550. In-16, black morocco, double cold fillet, back decorated in the same way, inner gilt lace, gilt edges on marbling (Duru, 1848). This apologetic work by Nicole Grenier (1505-1570), canon of Saint-Victor, contains a violent attack against the "heretical" doctrines of the Reformation. Vivant Gaultherot gave the first edition in 1547.
