Chameleon on white coral under globe Calyptratus and stylophora pistillata Solomon Islands H. 34,5 cm - D. 26 cm This magnificent animal standing on an "elk horn" coral is native to Yemen. The Veiled Chameleon -Chamaeleo calyptratus- can take almost any colors according to what surrounds it and especially according to its mood! This specimen, an adult male, has been kept in the Italian zoo where he was living:  when they die, their colors fade away very fast. He was born in Slovakia and died in 2016 in an Italian zoo.
