From a series of woodcuts illustrating the scenes from the Lives of the Virgin and Christ. They never appear together as a set, but parts were used for various publications by Johann Geiler von Keysersberg. They first occur in 'Das Leben Jesu Christi', Strasbourg: Knoblouch 1507.
This print is from the same period, same area of the ones done by Urs Graf or Hans Wechtlin 1503-1510.
The woodcut artist was not found during my research.
